LFS makes a market in local food by connecting suppliers, aggregators (food hubs, farm co-ops), and food processors with high volume buyers. Our system shows exactly what buyers intend to buy, tracks purchase orders and invoices, and facilitates transactions.
LFS enables high-volume buyers, such as distributors, food services, hospitals, schools, and grocery chains, to use their existing purchasing technology to buy local, organic, and sustainable food. We bridge between buyers’ enterprise systems and suppliers with little or no automation.
LFS integrates shipping logistics into the Exchange. We offer local carriers a regular stream of premium short-haul business. Carriers can use mobile technology to see and manage pickups and deliveries.
